Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Jageshwar Temple

Jageshwar temple is around 55 kms from Komorebi Homestay, Almora and is believed to be among the twelve Jyotirlinga or the holy sites of Shiva in the country. Jageshwar consists of clusters of ancient temples surrounded by deodar trees.

According to Hindu mythology, deodar tree is believed to be the place where Lords reside and by paying homage to the Lord at such a place purifies a devotee of all his sins.

Kasaar Devi Temple

Kasaar Devi Temple is near from Komorebi Homestay, Almora. It is believed that this temple was built by a king named Rudrak. Kasaar Devi Temple is mentioned in Skanda Purana. Swami Vivekananda meditated here in 1920.

This place is also famous for magnificent views of the Himalayas and the breathtaking night view of Almora city.

Chitai Temple

Chitai Temple is the temple of Golu Devta. Golu Devta is known as the God of justice. This temple is located at Almora Pithoragarh Highway . This is a holy place in Uttarakhand. Golu Devta is supposed to be the incarnation of Lord Shiva.

There are a large number of bells hung by the devotees at the premises as offerings, making a wish or an acknowledgment on the fulfillment of one’s wish.

Kausani

Kausani is a getaway for Himalayan travelers. It is 120 kms from Nainital and 75 kms north of Komorebi Homestay. This position provides a 350 kms perspective of the Himalayan mountains like Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Panchchuli. The perspective is so extraordinary that one gets a sensation of the snowfall being within one's reach.

Ranikhet

Ranikhet is located at a distance of 70 kms from Komorebi Homestay, Almora. Ranikhet gets its name from a local legend that it was here that Raja Sudhardev won the heart of his queen, Rani Padmini, who subsequently chose the area for her residence. There are many places of tourist attraction in Ranikhet like golf ground, Hairakhan Temple, and Majkhali.
